What's On

Families living in The Lanes Children's Centre area can access a number of parent & toddler groups and activities for children aged five years and under. These groups are set out on the Activities Timetable below.

The Lanes Children's Centre cannot recommend or endorse any service provided by external providers and is not responsible for changes to the information provided since publication.  We would welcome notification of any changes so that we can ensure the details we have are kept up-to-date.

The Lanes Children's Centre - Designated Opening Times:

Monday 11am till 4pm Tuesday 9am till 1pm

Thursday 5.30pm till 7.30pm (by appointment only) Saturday 9am till 11am

These times are subject to change without notice - we apologise for any disruption caused as a result.

Please also feel free to drop in and see a member of the team at any of the events we host, or telephone the centre to make an appointment.

Wednesday Wigwams

Future MUSIC SESSION coming up.....

Wednesday Wigwams 23rd May 2012, 1.30pm till 3pm at Baptist Church, High Street, Bovingdon. Cost £2.50 for all the family. No booking required - just drop in!

This is alternated with a Physical Session, where chiildren can enjoy and develop their large motor skills with larger equipment and movements. The next Physical Session is on Wednesday 16th May 2012, 1.30pm till 3pm at Baptist Church, High Street, Bovingdon. Cost £2.00 for all the family. No booking required - just drop in!

Forthcoming Courses/Workshops/Events:

• ABC About Boys Course FREE 4 week course starting Wednesday 20th June 2012 & then 4th, 11th & 18th July, 7.30 - 9.30pm at Baptist Church, High St. Bovingdon. Do you have boy(s) aged 0-5 years? Does he ignore you when you ask him to do things? Do you worry about his development or behaviour? We have tips and techniques to get him ready for school. Booking essential for this course.
• First Aid Suitable for Parents & carers (not suitable for practitioners) Saturday 19th May 2012, 10-12noon at Kings Langley Community Centre, The Nap, Chipperfield, Herts. Cost £5. No creche. Booking essential Tel: 01923 262640

Next School Holiday Activities

Half Term Holidays - 4th June - 8th June 2012.

• Monday - BHL - centre closed
• Tuesday - BHL - centre closed
• Wednesday Wigwams - 1.30-3pm at Baptist Church, High Street, Bovingdon with a Music From Around The World Theme. Cost £2.50 per family. No need to book - just drop in. Ages 0-8 years welcome.
• Thursday Olympic Sports Day 10.30-12noon, venue TBC. Mini Olympics sports day - come and have some fun with the whole family. No need to book - just turn up. £2 per family. Don't forget your running shoes!
• Family Fun! Friday 8th June 10-1pm at Sarratt C of E School. Suitable for ages 0-10 years. Cost £2 per child or £5 for 3 or more. Loads of fun activities which will include craft and sport, face painting, bouncy castle (0-4) and a petting area farm. No booking required.
