The Lanes Children’s Centre covers a large rural area of Hertfordshire which includes the picturesque villages of Bovingdon, Chipperfield, Flaunden & Sarratt.  Services are delivered from a range of venues across the area to ensure that they are accessible to local families. 

The name for the Children’s Centre was chosen following a colouring competition amongst local children and consultation with local families and partners. The name was whole heartedly endorsed by the Pre-school Learning Alliance, the lead agency for the Children’s Centre, and the Partnership Group.  The Lanes was suggested as a name as lanes link all the four villages together.

The Children’s Centre is based at St. Paul’s Church of England School, The Common, Chipperfield.  Services are delivered from community venues across the children’s centre area using the children’s centre van.
