Local Providers and Partners

Identification, making links with, and consulting the local early years service providers was an initial priority and significant part of the Children’s Centre Manager's role, as it is vital that information about these services is held, is correct and is updated on a regular basis, so that accurate information can be provided to parents & carers.

A Partnership Group has been formed. Every local provider and partner is invited to this group's meetings, which are held 3 times a year, so that they can update colleagues with any changes to their service, celebrate successes or share issues of concern. Links have also been made with many local partners, including childcare & early years providers and organisations, Job Centre Plus, West Herts Primary Care Trust and the NHS (including Health Visitors and Midwives), health and safety support services, family & parent support services, local voluntary and community groups, residents' association, disability support groups, local schools, libraries & leisure services, Educational Psychologists, the area SENCo, the District Partnership Team, the community police, local councillors, other Children's Centres and the local Extended Schools Consortium.
