Parents & Carers
We recognise that parents and carers are the primary care givers in young children's lives, and therefore play an intrinsic part in their development. We believe that it is therefore important to identify and address the needs of local parents and carers and support them in the best way we can.
It is important that all local parents and carers have the opportunity, and feel confident and comfortable enough, to express their views and needs, and that these are taken into account when planning and reviewing the services offered by the Children's Centre.
If you are a parent or carer and have not yet taken part in the consultation for the Children's Centre, please see our Consultation & Participation link below.

Parenting Classes & Courses
Local Health Visitors are currently running a 'From Pram to Primary' parenting course at the Children's Centre.
From January 2009, Midwives will be running antenatal classes and other ante- and post-natal services at Sopwell & Verulam Children' Centre. We welcome the opportunity to work with local Health professionals and hope that this partnership develops and grows from strength to strength.
The National Childbirth Trust also run courses at the centre.
This website will list parenting classes or courses offered at the Children's Centre. Please refer to our Newsletter.
