Welcome to Oughton Children's Centre.

At Oughton Children’s Centre we aim to provide childcare, information, support and services to families with children under 5 years old.  The centre is based at Oughton Primary and Nursery School, with providers offering childcare both on and off site, along with a range of other activities.  Oughton Children’s Centre serves the Westmill community and the villages of Cockernhoe, Great Offley, Hexton, Ickleford, Lilley and Pirton.  Families from other areas of Hitchin are also welcome to attend.

Oughton Children’s Centre offers:

• a Speech and Language Specialist
• early education integrated with day care for children aged 3-5
• affordable day nursery places for children aged  0-5 years
• support for childminders
• a toddler group with specialist support
• parenting classes
• Treasure Chest Toy Library
• a community learning room
• Home-Start family support
• parent support groups
• low-cost counselling
• aerobic classes with crèche

Oughton Children’s Centre will serve children and families in the local community and provide integrated care and education for young children, health services, family support and a base for childminders.
