Parent Satisfaction Survey

Hertfordshire County Council aims to ensure that parents are satisfied with the services being provided by children’s centres across the county and that these services are effective and accessible. Understanding what families think about children’s centre services in Hertfordshire is important as it enables us to develop services which respond to their needs.

To support children’s centres to do this, a coordinated approach to the measurement of parent satisfaction is planned for all Phase 1 and 2 Children’s Centres during October 2009. All Phase 1 and 2 children’s centres will be asking users of the centre to complete a satisfaction survey between 5 - 16 October. Data from the survey will then be used to improve services and address any weaknesses.

Samples of the survey and parent notice are below.

Developing Extended Services in Schools

The document below gives guidance to headteachers, children’s centre managers and extended services co-ordinators about the flexibilities and constraints available to them as employers in organising staffing to provide more flexible (including extended) services to their pupils and communities. The guidance here summarises, and elaborates on, briefings provided since the Summer term 2007 about flexible nursery entitlement and extended services. N.B This guidance is for schools only.
