Heath Lane Nursery School
Offers full & part-time nursery education for three & four year olds. Sessions are normally 3 hours in the morning or afternoon.
A core number of places are available for children to access 15 hours a week between 8am and 6pm. Children who access their entitlement over fewer than 5 days will use both Nursery School and the Children’s Club.

Pat Lewis Child Development Centre - Services for children with special needs
The Child Development Team is a multi-agency team that provides assessment and ongoing care planning for children with special needs. Referrals come from GPs, Health Visitors and paediatricians.
The Team includes:
- Administrators
- Speech & language therapists
- Physiotherapists
- Community Doctors
- Audiology
Support Groups For Parents of Special Needs Children
SWANS
Coffee and friendly support for parents whose children have special needs.

Childminders Network
Local Childminders meet regularly on a Friday morning 9.30-11.30am
term time only.
Venue: South Hill Church, Cemetery Hill, Hemel Hempstead
All Childminders welcome
Termly evening network meetings where childminders can meet and offer support to one another, share good practice and discuss issues and topics for example SEF, risk assessment and training needs. There is also a small resource library where childminders can borrow from on a half termly basis. For more information contact the children's centre on 01442 261043.
