Harpenden Children's Centre - Southdown
Our centre at Southdown is open for signposting and information during term-time as follows:
Wednesday 9.00am-12.00pm
Thursday 9.00am-4.00pm
At other times and during the school holidays you can contact us by calling 01582 714 210.
Due to limited space at the Southdown centre, our drop-in groups and universal services take place at Batford but our Southdown residents are also able to access all of these services. We are keen to hear from any families who are unable to access the Batford centre for any reason eg due to transport issues.
Each Monday the Southdown centre is used by the health visitors to carry out checks. You can contact them directly on 01582 715 675 to make an appointment.
On a Tuesday and Wednesday, Drawn Together, the art therapists use the centre. See the 'Centre & Facilities' page for more information on the service they provide. You can ask your health visitor, GP or the Children's Centre team for a referral or contact them directly by emailing art.therapy@harpendenchildrenscentres.org.uk.
Each Thursday morning, the centre is used by Partner organisations and in the afternoon there is an outreach surgery, where parents of children aged from 0 to 5 years can book a 30 minute appointment to discuss or obtain support on a range of issues. | Parking: | There is an on-site car park with limited places but the children's centre can also be accessed easily on foot. Road parking is also available but we ask car users to have consideration for local residents when parking off-site. |
