Skylarks Day Care is part of an integrated service offering within Harpenden Children's Centre.
Rated 'Outstanding' in every single category by Ofsted in March 2009, Skylarks Day Care's mission is to provide a happy, caring yet stimulating environment in which every child will flourish. Skylarks offers education and flexible childcare to up to 24 children aged 3-5, including the 15 hours free places for three and four year olds, holiday clubs in every school holiday (except Christmas) and wrap around care for the nursery school with which it is fully integrated. This integration provides the children with unparalleled space and access to a broad range of learning opportunities within a safe yet exciting environment, including a wonderful garden.
Children do not make a definition between learning and play and neither does skylarks. Led by an Early Years Professional the experienced and enthusiastic staff identify the opportunities for teaching and learning and weave all aspects of the Early Years framework into everything they do. On-site caterers provide nutrionally balanced meals which, where appropriate, include breakfast, snacks, a cooked lunch (during term time) and tea. Skylarks is open 8am-6pm Monay to Friday for 50 weeks of the year.

Batford Nursery School providing Early Years foundation stage framework, promoting all round development & learning.
