Making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people.
About the Children's Centre
Harpenden Children's Centre provides a range of high quality, inclusive, integrated services aimed to give children the best start in life. We work in close partnership with other organisations and professionals, assessing need and co-ordinating services. Many of the centre activities and our administration are based at the centre, which is located within Batford nursery school, our lead agent.
Sure Start Children's Centres are at the heart of the Government's strategy to deliver better outcomes for children and families, building on the success of Sure Start local programmes, early excellence centres and neighbourhood nurseries and mainstreaming lessons learned to extend the benefits to all families.
Sure Start Children's Centres play a vital part of the Government's 10 year childcare strategy to enable all families with children to have access to an affordable, flexible, high quality childcare place for their child.
