What is a Children’s Centre?

Sure Start Children’s Centres are service hubs where children under 5 and their families can receive seamless integrated services and information.

In practice this means Children’s Centres will be providing information and services to families with young children aged 0 – 5 years, and aims to build on good existing services within the community. Galley Hill covers Gadebridge, Warners End and Chaulden, and is based at the new Galley Hill School site opposite Rossgate shops. However, many of the services we offer will run from local community centres and halls, or schools within the area. We work closely with the health service and other agencies to offer a range of information and support.

Opening Times

The centre will be running most activities throughout the year, and this may mean that the office will not be manned. If you wish to pop in and see us, please phone us first on 01442 426753, or 07507 22718 to find out if we’re in!
