We are now into the Summer Term with all the fun and activities that outdoor play can bring. We have a range of activities and courses which you can see on our Diary page, along side all the other things that run in this area.
Our popular Baby rhyme time has to move as it’s become so big! We will be moving to the Gadebridge Youth Club from Friday 1st May, which is behind the Community Centre in Rossgate. The session is aimed at babies and children up to the age of 2, with a chance to meet and chat to other parents. We have our fair share of dads as well, and the group is open to all. It runs from 2.00 to 3.00 pm every Friday.
To coincide with Baby Rhyme Time we are starting a fitness club called Mums of Steel – and again Dads are always welcome. The idea of these sessions is to go walking and take gentle exercise with your baby in the buggy. It aims to give you a gentle workout, and your baby the opportunity to get plenty of fresh air, and the 8 week session should see a difference! Its pay as you go and is from 1.00 to 2.00 pm every Friday at the Children’s Centre. The idea is that you can then visit Baby Rhyme Time for a well earned rest and refreshments. If you want to take part, just come to the Children’s Centre at 1.00. The cost is £2 and you can pay as you go. We don’t need all 8 weeks money up front.
The centre is open from 8.45 am to 4.00pm daily (during school holidays please phone for opening hours) and offers advice and information on a range of services available. There are lists available of activities in the area, and local courses and workshops that run throughout Dacorum.
If you are looking to return to work or take up training, there are a variety of courses that you can access. The centre also has information on how you can find pre-school and nursery places, plus local toddler groups and classes.
