NewsFollowing our first Ofsted inspection we have been graded as Satisfactory with elements of good in many areas. We are pleased that the Ofsted inspector noted the good relationship we have with parents and partners. The areas that need addressing will ensure we continue to build on the work we do here and in the community. Many thanks to all the parents who spoke to the inspector - she had nothing but praise for the support we give each other. Click here to see our Ofsted report The Children’s Centre and Fire Service are now working in partnership to promote a range of safety features in the community. They came to our Under 1’s group on 9th February to talk about safety in the home, and will be visiting our messy play sessions. Watch this space for further visits – they will bring the Fire Engine to any of our events – always a draw for the children! Dear Parents/Carers Every year Hertfordshire County Council asks people who use children's centres to complete a short survey to share their thoughts and comments about the centres. This to help the council understand how satisfied parents are with services provided and make improvements if necessary. The Children’s Centre is open every day between 8.40 and 4.00 pm. There are occasions when all the staff are out in the area so please telephone before you visit. Look out for our activities in Chaulden, Warners End and Gadebridge - What's On for the under 5's Safeguarding Children - Safeguarding is everyone’s business- including those who don’t have a specific role in relation to child protection - and we all have a duty to keep children and young people safe from abuse and neglect, and promote their welfare. At Galley Hill Children’s Centres we intend to create an environment in which safeguarding concerns are promptly and appropriately responded to. We would like to establish a culture of support for children in the community so that concerns can be shared and dealt with appropriately and promptly. The safety of children is the responsibility of parents and carers For more information please click here In the meantime, to keep up to date please complete the registration form and we will add you to our mailing list, by email or post.
