Sure Start Children’s Centres aim to give each child the best possible start in life. There are 82 Children’s Centres in Hertfordshire, each serving a community that includes approximately 800 children under five.

Children’s Centres work closely with professionals in Health and Education together with partners in the private and voluntary sector. Children’s Centre services include: |

- Helping parents access quality childcare and early years education locally
- Child and family health services.
- Parent support and guidance on topics including breastfeeding, weaning, toilet training, speech and language development.
- Toy libraries, parent and toddler groups, baby massage sessions.
- A base for a childminding network.
- Support for children with special needs.
- Links with Jobcentre Plus, information and support with training and career opportunities.

All centres are different, offering services tailored to local needs. Although Croxley Green is one of the smaller centres, we aim to provide informative and fun activities together with additional services that will become a valuable resource for local families.
