Safeguarding (everyone’s responsibility)

What is Safeguarding?

  • Protecting children from maltreatment
  • Preventing impairment of children’s health or development
  • Ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care
  • Enabling those children to have optimum life chances and enter adulthood successfully

How do we do it?

Staff

We guarantee that all our staff are security checked and trained to a high standard and that people who are welcome in our centre behave in an appropriate manner.

Community

We have strong community partnerships and relationships built on trusts which enable us to share good practice and concerns.

Premises

We make sure that the centre provides a safe and suitable environment for your families to enjoy.

Keeping children safe

We ensure that concerns over the safety and welfare of children are acted upon through the correct procedures.

If you have any concerns over any issues regarding safeguarding please speak to a member of staff or contact either of the named safeguarding representatives
