Welcome to the Bluebell Children’s Centre website.
Bluebell Children’s Centre is a one stop shop for information and support serving all families with children under five.
Bluebell Children’s Centre covers a large semi-rural area of Hertfordshire which includes Hitchin South and the villages of Whitwell, Wymondley, Preston, Breachwood Green and St Ippolyts. Bluebell Children’s Centre building work commenced in January 2010 and the centre has recently opened, located next to Highbury School in Hitchin. Children’s Centre Services are delivered from the new Children's Centre building as well as community venues across the area to ensure that they are accessible to local families. For more information about the Bluebell Children's Centre services please click on the link to the Bluebell Newsletter (286KB).
The name of the Children’s Centre was chosen after consultation with local families and was whole-heartedly endorsed by the Pre-school Learning Alliance, the lead agency for the Children’s Centre, and the Partnership Group. The name was suggested because of the connection with bluebells grown in the area.
We hope that you will find the information on our website useful and informative.
