We offer antenatal and postnatal support to new parents through partnership working with health staff to make sure that you receive care and support to meet your needs.

The delivery of Maternity services is currently under review with the aim of offering more choice to parents, with more options on care available from October 2011.

At Berrygrove we currently run fortnightly ante natal appointments for expectant mothers who are registered with Meriden surgery. Appointments are made in the usual way at the surgery.

To support new parents and help you to develop confidence, we run a weekly “Under Ones Group” every Thursday throughout the year. This friendly group is open to all new parents and is an opportunity to make friends, compare notes and find out about all the other groups and activities available to you at the Children’s Centre as your child grows.

We offer Breastfeeding advice every week from experienced peer supporters. This drop in session is every Wednesday from 1.30-3.30pm

Our weekly drop in Child Health Clinic is held at the Children's Centre every Thursday between 10am and 12pm. There is always a Health Visitor on hand to answer your questions and offer advice on issues concerning the health and development of babies and young children.

There is also a drop in Child Health Clinic at Meriden Community Centre every Wednesday between 1.30pm and 3pm with a Health Visitor available as above.

Young Mum or Dad?

Support for young mums and dads is available through the Teenage Pregnancy Midwife, who provides ante natal care for young parents to be following confirmation of pregnancy. Ante natal classes and midwife appointments are held regularly at the children's centre. Appointments are made by the midwife.

Next Ante Natal classes for young parents starts on Thurs 3rd November from 1pm to 3pm. Contact children's centre on 01923 484312 for more information or to book a place.

Tiny Tots Playtime is our group for young mums and dads aged under 25. It's held every Monday at the Children's Centre from 3.00pm to 4.30pm. All young parents welcome. No need to book.
