We work in partnership with health professionals to support families and help parents to access the health information and advice they need, including onward referral where appropriate.

Ante natal services are currently under review with the aim of improving choices for parents-to-be. The new structure should be in place in April 2012 when we will add any local service delivery changes to the website.

Child Health Clinics
We have 2 Child Health Clinics in the area each week. These are at the Meriden Community Centre every Wednesday from 1.30pm to 3pm and at Berrygrove Children’s Centre every Thursday from 10am to 12pm.
These are drop in sessions for families with children aged under 5 years where a Health Visitor is always available for information and advice on child health and development.

Weaning sessions
The Community Nursery Nurse holds regular weaning sessions at the Under One’s group at Parkgate Community Centre. See flyer for next dates. Weaning flyer

Breastfeeding support
A breastfeeding support group is held at the Children’s Centre every Wednesday between 1.30pm and 3.30pm.
This is a drop-in session run by an Infant feeding advisor and experienced peer supporter.

Baby massage
Regular baby massage courses are run by the Community Nursery Nurse. To access this service you need to have a referral from your health visitor. For further information, to make an enquiry or to ask for a referral, you can contact your health visitor at Garston Clinic on 01923 243568.

Speech and Language Therapy support
