Stay and Play Session - There is no Stay and Play on 7 May as it Bank Holiday
Booking is required for families who live outside of the Children's Centre area.
Mondays 9.30 am - 11.30 am at Woolmer Green Village Hall.
Come and join us for a cup of coffee and a chat while your children play. An opportunity to make friends, and to access information, guidance and support.
We will be grateful for a donation of £2 per family towards the costs of the session would be appreciated as this helps us to meet the costs of refreshments and craft materials for the Stay and Play sessions..

Toddler Rhyme and Story Time - from Tuesday 17 April
£1.50 per session
Tuesdays 11 am - 12 noon at St Martin's Parish Centre, Knebworth.
This session is aimed at babies and toddlers from 9 months to 2 years. Before and after the stories, rhymes and singing there is an opportunity for the children to play, and for parents and carers to have a chat and to catch up with friends.

Welly Walks - Tuesday 17 April, 1 May, 15 May and 29 May
£1 per session
1.30 pm, meeting at the car park at Knebworth Recreation Ground.
Please come dressed appropriately for the weather - rain or shine! The walks and activities are suitable for children aged 2-3 years but their young siblings in buggies are very welcome too. Each week will be linked to a theme such as mini-beasts, recycling, the natural environment and the weather; and the sessions will include lots of opportunity for physical play.
Ready Steady Go - Tuesday 24 April, 8 May and 22 May
£2.50 per session - no need to book
1.30 pm at St Martin's Parish Centre, Knebworth. The sessions for the two age groups are running alongside each other.
Jumping Joeys ** BOOKING ESSENTIAL **

(10 weeks) - £20 deposit + £1 per session
Thursdays 11 am - 11.40 am at Woolmer Green Village Hall.
We are very pleased to be working in partnership with Jumping Joeys to bring movement and dance classes to Barleyfields Children's Centre.
New Start Nought to Nine Months Baby Group
Fridays 1.15 pm - 3.00 pm at Woolmer Green Village Hall
A warm welcome for first time parents with babies from birth to nine months. An informal and friendly group where parents can share experiences and have fun. The group provides a social opportunity for parents to meet each other, discuss concerns, share ideas and offer support. New Start has been developed by the Stevenage Speech and Language Project and each week the group has a speech, language and communication focus covering topics such as dummy use, interaction, listening skills and speech development. The sessions are linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage and offer a range of activities and toys to support babies' learning and development.
A small voluntary contribution towards the costs of the session would be appreciated.
Saturday Dads - 5 May, 2 June and 7 July 2012 **BOOKING ADVISABLE**
10 am - 12 noon at Stepping Stone Pre-school, 111 London Road, Knebworth
Barleyfields Children's Centre is very pleased to be working in partnership with Stepping Stone Pre-school to offer the Saturday Dads Group for dads, grandads, uncles and male carers and their children aged 0-6 years. The sessions are run by qualified childcare practitioners. Why not come along for fun, games, crafts and outdoor play?
Family Fun - 28 April and 26 May
10 am - 12 noon at Woolmer Green Village Hall - £3 per family. A new stay and play session for families.
Baby Massage
Barleyfields Children's Centre runs Baby Massage courses for Mums, Dads and their babies between six weeks and six months. There is a fee of £20 for this course. Parents will learn techniques to relax their baby and increase non-verbal communication.
A new five week course coming soon - please get in touch if you are interested in booking a place.
Baby Yoga
Barleyfields Children's Centre is now able to offer baby yoga. There is a fee of £20 for this four week course. Please contact the children's centre for details of the next course.
We request that parents and carers do not use their mobile phones while they are on the Chidlren's Centre premises or attending Children's Centre services and activities.
