New Booking Arrangements from January 2011
The Barleyfields Children’s Centre Advisory Group have agreed the Vision Statement for the Children Children’s Centre and this is :
Working in partnership with the local communities of Knebworth, Woolmer Green and Oaklands to support families in building a brighter future.
As a result of discussions around the Vision Statement, and careful consideration, it has been agreed that we will introduce a new booking system from 1 January 2011. We hope that the changes will ensure that we will be able to accommodate more local families at our sessions and therefore meet local needs.
We are asking parents and carers to book onto sessions in half-termly blocks and this will apply to
Singing Starlets
Jumping Joeys
Signing Babies
If you would like to book a place for any of these, please email barleyfields@pre-school.org.uk or telephone the office during the booking window. You can also register your interest for these sessions at any time.
In order to book you, and the children, will need to be registered with Barleyfields Children's Centre and we will ask you to bring the deposit to the first session. Families resident in the Barleyfields Children's Centre area may be eligible for a free place if they receive certain benefits and these fees would therefore not apply.

Barleyfields Information Leaflet (100KB)
These booking arrangements are in line with our Admissions Policy (a copy of which is available above). In view of the economic climate, it has become important to be able to meet the cost of commissioned services and the Advisory Group hope that the new arrangements will ensure this happens.
With regard to Stay and Play, if you live within the Barleyfields Children's Centre area you do not need to book - just come along. If you live outside of the area, you can book a place for the following week by contacting us from Tuesday morning.
If you have any queries or concerns, please email or telephone Sue.
